Branching Out Part 4: Kauai - Sauteed Ho Farms Rainbow Swiss Chard

Our final destination takes us to beautiful Kauai for our special four-part Branching Out blog series. Last week, Chef and Restaurateur, Kevin Hanney shared his recipes for Sweet Potato Hash and Lamb Shanks. This week we are sharing his recipe for Sauteed Ho Farms Rainbow Swiss Chard - a colorful and flavorful side to compliment a variety of entrees. Sauteed Ho Farms Rainbow Swiss Chard

Ingredients 

  • 1 cleaned and washed swiss chard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Rough chop the swiss chard. Over medium high heat, add garlic and oil until garlic begins to brown. This will happen fast so have all of the ingredients ready to add. Add the swiss chard and toss immediately. Cook until chard begins to wilt and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and serve. Swiss chard will continue to cook from its own heat.

Exciting News for the Kauai Team 

Our Kauai branch is located at 3083 Aukele Street, Lihue, Hi 96766. We currently have a showroom and warehouse filled with product to stock all of Kauai and a staff of five team members to help with any supply needs. We also offer free island wide delivery via our custom Hawaii logoed truck.

In the coming year, we will be moving to a new location! We will stay in the same building but will have over 10,000 square feet of new space with an air-conditioned showroom and an impressive china/glassware display room. We will remain open at our current location to continue serving you with any restaurant supply needs.
